Tanks

UST (Underground Storage Tanks) are typically used for chemical, gasoline, or fuel storage. When removal is conducted, the tank is pumped, cleaned, removed and destroyed. Soil samples are taken in the excavation. The owner of the facility is notified for proper environmental compliance if contamination is detected.

AST (Above Ground Storage Tanks) are typically used for storage of fuels, chemicals and liquids. These tanks are documented during the ESA (Environmental Site Assessment). Prior to renovation or demolition, the tanks and associated piping are drained and purged as part of the work.
